OBN Rentals
inApril offers short and long term OBN system rentals for both ROV and Node-on-a-Rope surveys in depths between 5m and 3,000m. Rental kits contain the following main components and handling modules can be added for efficient Node-on-a-Rope operations:
– Up to 3,000 nodes of type A3000.
– An automated and hands-free 20-foot node charging and staging container.
– A Data Management System with inApril`s data QC module (DMS).
The A3000 node is depth rated to 3600m and has 150 days battery life (click here for specifications )
inApril’s automated node charging and staging containers include servers and other hardware required to operate the nodes. The containers require only power and an Ethernet connection.
The 20-foot container includes:
1) Storage racks with connection points for 300 nodes
– Loading and unloading of nodes, data download, clock management, battery charging and management, internal testing, firmware upgrades.
2) A complete Data Management System (hardware and software).
3) Air conditioner and humidifier for controlled temperature and humidity.
The container allows for hands-free loading and unloading of nodes in parallel, which is useful during initial deployment and during final retrieval in a survey. The automation facilitates first in first out during rolling of a spread and each loader can deliver or park a node per 15 seconds.
The Data Management System will control the positions / slots for all nodes in the container and provides the operator a full overview of the status of all nodes. Nodes will not be unloaded from the container unless they are operational and ready.
inApril nodes are air freight compliant and can be mobilized on short notice.
Mini OBN Rental Kit
inApril also offers a mini OBN rental kit designed for smaller projects like special site surveys, seismic undershoots, reservoir monitoring, river crossings, geotechnical surveys, scientific projects and other projects where nodes are needed or preferred. The seismic nodes can be used in transition zones, shallow water and deep-water projects (up to 3000 meters).
The entire kit is certified for air-freight and can be mobilized on short notice. Operation requires a minimum of training as it includes our Remote QC and Service module allowing data QC and operational assistance to be done remotely by inApril’s specialist or the operator’s own onshore personnel.
